Our Therapeutic Companions

Maine Coon & Ragdoll Kittens Raised with Intention

At ApotheCattery, we place a limited number of Maine Coon and Ragdoll kittens each season as therapeutic companions.

Our kittens are not produced for volume or quick sales. They are intentionally bred, carefully socialized, and placed through a thoughtful discovery process to ensure lasting, meaningful bonds.

If you are searching for:

  • Maine Coon kittens

  • Ragdoll kittens

  • a reputable Maine Coon breeder

  • a Ragdoll breeder with a waitlist

  • a therapeutic or companion-focused cattery

You’re in the right place.

Our Breeds

Maine Coon Therapeutic Companions

Maine Coons are known for their:

  • confident, gentle temperament

  • strong human bonding

  • social and intuitive nature

  • grounding presence

  • adaptability to families, individuals, and other pets

Their size, intelligence, and emotional steadiness make them ideal companions for individuals seeking connection, routine, and presence in daily life.

Maine Coon kittens are available seasonally and placed in limited numbers to protect quality of care.

Ragdoll Therapeutic Companions

Ragdolls are cherished for their:

  • exceptionally calm and affectionate demeanor

  • strong desire for human closeness

  • emotionally responsive nature

  • relaxed presence in quiet or sensitive homes

Because of our intentional breeding model, Ragdoll kittens are placed via waitlist, typically 6 months in advance.

How Our Kittens Are Raised

Our therapeutic companions are raised in a calm, enriched environment that prioritizes:

  • early human bonding

  • gentle handling and routine

  • emotional regulation and confidence

  • gradual exposure to household rhythms

This foundation supports kittens as they transition into homes as stable, well-adjusted companions, rather than overstimulated or reactive pets.

What Makes ApotheCattery Different

Many people searching for Maine Coon or Ragdoll kittens encounter breeders focused primarily on appearance or speed.

At ApotheCattery:

  • placements are intentional, not first-come-first-served

  • we prioritize compatibility over convenience

  • we limit litters to protect wellbeing

  • we support adopters through education and transition

  • discretion and animal safety are always respected

This approach protects the bond — and the experience — for everyone involved.

What Our Kittens Come With

Each therapeutic companion is placed with:

  • age-appropriate veterinary care

  • health screening appropriate to age and breed

  • early socialization and enrichment

  • transition guidance for new homes

  • continued support during the adjustment period

Details are discussed during your Discovery Call.

Age at Placement

Kittens typically go to their new homes between
12–16 weeks of age, depending on:

  • individual development

  • social readiness

  • immune system maturity

We believe timing matters — and we do not rush placements.

Availability & Waitlists

  • Maine Coons: Limited seasonal availability

  • Ragdolls: Waitlist only (approximately 6 months)

Because of our intentional approach, availability is always limited. This is why we have our deposit program in place so the client never loses their place in getting a kitten placement as soon as one is available and is matched to the client.

How to Begin the Process

The first step is a Discovery Call.

During this call, we:

  • learn about your lifestyle and expectations

  • discuss breed compatibility

  • review current availability or waitlist timing

  • answer questions about pricing and next steps

A Note on Safety & Ethics

For the safety of our animals:

  • our location is not publicly listed

  • visits are by appointment and application approval only

  • kittens are never sold through third parties

Ethical placement includes discretion, boundaries, and respect.

Therapeutic companions provide companionship and emotional support. They are not medical or service animals.

Begin with Intention

Choosing a Maine Coon or Ragdoll therapeutic companion is about more than breed preference — it’s about relationship, presence, and long-term commitment.

At ApotheCattery, we honor that responsibility.
