A New Chapter Is Taking Root: The Evolution of ApotheCattery

There are some chapters of life that you know, even while you’re living them, will stay with you forever.

ApotheCattery is one of those chapters for me.

For years, I have had the privilege of raising beautiful companions, watching families fall completely in love with them, and witnessing the incredible connection that can exist between humans and animals.

This business has never simply been about breeding cats.

It has been about companionship, connection, comfort, and love.

And that is exactly why this announcement is so bittersweet.

ApotheCattery Is Beginning a Slow & Intentional Transition

After much thought, I have made the decision to gradually transition away from breeding and eventually close the breeding chapter of ApotheCattery.

This is NOT an immediate closure.

We still have cats and kittens who need their forever families, and I will continue thoughtfully matching our remaining companions with the right homes.

Our cats and kittens will continue receiving the same level of love, care, attention, and commitment they always have.

If you are currently interested in welcoming an ApotheCattery companion into your family, we are still accepting inquiries during this transition.

There isn’t a sudden ending date.

Instead, I want to allow this chapter to come to a close naturally and responsibly.

So… Why the Change?

Because somewhere along the way, I changed too.

As I’ve continued my education and professional development in holistic and functional wellness, I’ve felt myself becoming increasingly drawn toward helping people understand their bodies, their wellness, and the many factors that can influence how they feel.

My own life experiences have shaped that calling tremendously.

I’ve developed an especially deep passion for whole-person wellness, nutrition, herbal and botanical support, nervous-system regulation, and supporting people navigating life during and after significant health challenges.

And eventually I had to acknowledge something:

This is where my heart is asking me to go next.

I don’t want to divide myself indefinitely between two enormous passions.

I want to give this next chapter the attention, education, energy, and heart that it deserves.

I’m incredibly excited to introduce the next evolution of my work:

THE APOTHE-ROOT

Holistic & Functional Wellness

Restore the Root. Reclaim Your Vitality.

The name represents the philosophy behind everything I want this practice to become.

APOTHE represents my love and respect for herbs, botanicals, traditional plant wisdom, and the natural world.

ROOT represents looking beyond the surface and exploring the foundational factors that may be influencing someone’s overall wellness.

Rather than looking at a person as a collection of isolated symptoms, The Apothe-Root will focus on the whole person — nutrition, lifestyle, environment, stress, sleep, nervous-system health, emotional wellness, and other foundational aspects of well-being.

My areas of special interest will include:

• Cancer recovery and complementary wellness support
• Nervous-system regulation and emotional wellness
• Functional and holistic wellness
• Nutrition and lifestyle
• Herbal and botanical wellness
• Foundational and root-cause wellness
• Mind-body support

The Apothe-Root is not intended to replace appropriate medical or mental-health care. Instead, my goal is to provide complementary holistic and functional wellness support while encouraging clients to maintain appropriate relationships with their licensed healthcare providers.

ApotheCattery Helped Plant the Roots

When I look back, these two chapters don’t feel as separate as they might appear.

ApotheCattery taught me so much about connection, nurturing, responsibility, intuition, and the healing power of companionship.

Those lessons aren’t disappearing.

They’re becoming part of what comes next.

In many ways, ApotheCattery helped plant the roots for The Apothe-Root.

What Happens Now?

For now, ApotheCattery continues.

We will continue caring for our cats, raising our remaining kittens, communicating with our families, and thoughtfully completing our final placements.

At the same time, behind the scenes, I will be building The Apothe-Root and preparing to begin this new professional chapter.

Eventually, our breeding program will come to its natural conclusion.

And when that day arrives, I know it will be emotional.

But I also know that sometimes honoring one chapter means recognizing when it’s time to allow another one to grow.
